About Mama Base Illawarra

Mama Base, Pregnancy, Postpartum and Parenthood – Illawarra health district in the heart of Wollongong.

Collaborative and complementary care and support to families in the early stages and phases of parenthood, as well as the professionals who support these families.
The first of its kind in the Illawarra and currently offers perinatal, child and family psychology, antenatal classes and naturopathy.
Careful and intentional selection of holistic services whom provide care to parents throughout their parenthood journey, with a focus on the early stages and phases of pregnancy, postpartum & parenthood.

In the absence of a village, and in a modern world that neglects to acknowledge and honour the transformation that is parenthood, Mama Base works to ensure that parents are seen, soothed, secure and safe. So that they in turn can be the safe base that their children need them to be.

We offer timely appointments – no long waiting lists – and you can book online, directly with the health practitioner that best suits your needs. Medicare rebates are available when referred by your GP, psychiatrist or pediatrician. Private health insurance rebates may also be available.

Mama Base is a collection of independently run holistic and specialised services working alongside one another to offer parents a place to seek support in the areas of pregnancy, postpartum & parenthood.
